9Day Chengdu Chongqing Zen Tour

Upon arrival in Chengdu, visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to observe the daily lives of China's national treasure, the giant panda, up close. In the afternoon, head to the Sanxingdui Museum to experience the mystery and awe of the ancient Shu civilization from over three thousand years ago. The unique bronze masks and sacred trees represent the most ancient memories of Ba-Shu culture.

Morning: Visit the Sanxingdui Museum (Guanghan) to explore the origins of ancient Shu civilization. Afternoon: Return to the city center and head to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum (Pidu District) to learn about the historical heritage and essence of Sichuan cuisine's "hundred dishes, hundred flavors."

Visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to explore the Fish Mouth, Flying Sand Weir, and Bottle Mouth structures. Learn about the water management philosophy of Li Bing and his son, who advocated "go with the flow and govern through non-action." In the afternoon, head to the nearby ancient town of Jiezi to experience the leisurely pace and tranquility of a West Sichuan town, savoring its rustic streets and architecture.

Today marks the beginning of the natural landscape highlights in our itinerary. We'll take the train to Huanglong-Jiuzhaigou Station, then drive to Huanglong Scenic Area. Afterward, we'll return to Jiuzhaigou Valley entrance.

Spend the entire day immersed in Jiuzhaigou Valley, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Explore the three main valleys—Shuzheng, Rize, and Zechawa—and admire core attractions such as Five-Color Lake, Pearl Beach Waterfall, and Long Lake. Experience the breathtaking fairy-tale landscape formed by alpine lakes, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant forests.

Wake up at your leisure at the hotel in the morning, then head from Jiuzhaigou's entrance to Songpan Ancient Town before returning to Chengdu to unwind.

Take the high-speed rail or bullet train to Chongqing. Swiftly transition from the tranquil Shu region to the enchanting Ba region, immersing yourself in the unique charm of this mountain city. In the evening, choose to visit Liberation Monument or Hongyadong to catch your first glimpse of the mountain city's nightscape.

Spend the entire day exploring the Wulong Karst Tourism Area, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Visit the Tiansheng Three Bridges to marvel at the awe-inspiring natural stone bridges and vast sinkhole clusters. Tour the Fairy Mountain National Forest Park to experience the refreshing highland meadows and forests. Return to downtown Chongqing in the evening.

Experience the Yangtze River Cableway in the morning, enjoying aerial views of the Yangtze River and Chongqing's multi-level transportation system. Proceed to Liziba Light Rail Station to witness the magical spectacle of the light rail passing through a building. Return to Hongyadong (daytime or morning) to once again appreciate the distinctive architecture of stilted houses. Depending on your flight schedule, head to the airport or train station to conclude your delightful journey through the twin cities of Sichuan and Chongqing.
